Mary Regan

Mary has been with the agency since 2006 and has over 35 years of service in the insurance industry. Prior to Texas Independent Insurance, Mary worked for both captive and independent agents representing many top carriers. She also has experience as a claims adjuster working for a third-party administrator handling commercial liability claims while representing several nationwide accounts. This enormous amount of cumulative experience has laid a solid foundation for our commercial team, which Mary leads!
Mary and her team are responsible for new business quoting and re-marketing commercial lines renewals, policy issuance, and invoicing. She works hard to ensure each client has the best coverage at the best possible price.
Mary has volunteered time with Allen Community Outreach, worked with the youth at her church and is currently serving on the board of a non-profit theatre company. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends as well as travel to her beloved mountains of NC to enjoy hiking.

His passion for educating clients about insurance has served well in helping them meet their insurance needs. Prior to joining Texas Independent Insurance as Sr. Personal Insurance Advisor, he had extensive experience in the insurance industry with over 10 years in agency management.
Micah grew up in Southlake, earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas, and is proud to be a life-long Texan. Outside of the workplace, he enjoys spending time with his family of five, taking walks with his wife and their three dogs, gardening, and playing games with his family.

As the manager of our service department, she leads her team by example in all aspects. She has a broad knowledge base of the many carriers we represent, their rates, discounts, and requirements. Heather is a problem-solver with a positive attitude and great ethics.
Heather made her way to Texas many years ago after growing up in California, and now resides in New Mexico. She is an avid learner, often watching all types of documentaries, listening to podcasts, and reading. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs.

Traci jumped into servicing Texas Independence Insurance customers in 2013 and transitioned over the years to our Accounting/Finance Manager putting her business degree in Accounting from the University of Central Missouri to work! She is responsible for all aspects of accounting including, but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, client invoicing, payroll and commission calculations.
Traci has two adult sons, one who lives in Texas and the other who lives in Missouri and is also in the insurance industry.
In her free time, Traci enjoys being active in her church, spending time with family and friends, and is an avid reader. Living life to the fullest and serving others is what brings her the most joy in her personal and professional life.

Andrea joined our agency mid 2023 as a member of the service team. She is eager and ready to help in making your customer experience with us a positive one. Her small-town vibe will make you feel at home in our insurance family. Within a few months of joining our agency, she obtained her license and often makes recommendations to enhance processes.
Prior to Texas Independent Insurance, Andrea had 10 years of combined experience in the roles of customer service, leadership and management within multiple companies. And she earned an associate degree in business from the University of Phoenix.
Originally from a small gulf coast town, her husband of over 20 years, her son and daughter moved to the Dallas area to be closer to family. Settling down after 10 years of supporting her husband in his military career has been rewarding.

Christina came to Texas Independent Insurance as a personal lines account manager in 2024. She has been in the insurance industry in varying capacities including personal lines, commercial, life and health insurance for over 20 years.
Her favorite aspect of the job is getting to know the clients and hearing their stories!
Christina is married and is kept busy with her four children, who are actively involved in different activities like baseball, softball, and marching band. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, and is an avid MLB and NFL fan, and watching and drawing anime!

Darlyn Santiago

Darlyn began working with our Service department in the fall of 2023 and has contributed greatly since day one! She is responsible for, but not limited to, updating information such as processing mortgagee changes, managing sub-to-policies, handling billing notices, setting up policies, uploading documents, attaching emails, and adding notes for reference within our agency management system and carrier portals. Darlyn is quick to help. We appreciate her kindness and humor.
Darlyn and her husband recently welcomed their first child and are adjusting to their new routine. In their spare time, they enjoy riding a scooter to explore different cities and spend quality time together. They make the most of these moments by dining out, going on coffee dates, discussing their achievements, and talking about how they can continue to improve their lives as they grow older.

Jim joined Texas Independent Insurance in May of 2023 as a Personal Insurance Advisor – building on 11 years’ experience gained as both a captive agent and as an independent agent. Having grown up in Plainview, Texas, he moved to the Metroplex to attend Arlington Baptist College where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Missions in 1984. He spent the next 25 years in Church Ministry serving in various roles from Worship Leader to Senior Pastor. From those experiences, he brings a passion for serving the needs of people with a true Servant’s Heart. He has a genuine desire to educate clients on their coverage so that they can choose top-notched protection.
Jim now lives in Midlothian where he loves being Grampa to 14 grandchildren! He enjoys music, Bible study and researching Biblical Archeology.

Van was born in Vietnam, moved to California as a small child and lived in the Midwest many years until she made her way to the great state of Texas. Becoming well versed in the commercial insurance industry due to the experience of various family members, Jan became licensed to be a commercial insurance account representative with our agency in the fall of 2023.
After 25-years teaching pre-school age children and various elementary grade level children, Jan retired and joined the “adult world” working as an accounting administrator at an auto dealership auditing new car private and municipal automotive transactions.
Jan is responsible for servicing the commercial insurance accounts, both new policy and renewing policies, in our Frisco office. Jan works closely with our insureds, carriers, and lenders to supply all information, and documentation of coverages per policy terms and requirements.
Jan and her husband David have been married for over 35 years. They enjoy working with the teens and children at their church, watching baseball and golf, and enjoying the “empty nester” lifestyle. They have two cats that keep them entertained, while patiently waiting for grandchildren! Jan is a crafter. She loves thrifting old items and turning them into something new.
